After the Intervention

• The team provides written information and advice on postoperative care to the client. Unless he took a sedative, the client can leave the clinic by himself without any dressings or bandages. The client will have leave with someone else if he took a sedative.
• Pain is usually minimal of even inexistent.
• 24 hours after the intervention, a first light shampoo is recommended.
• 48 hours after the intervention, hair can be washed on a daily basis.
• 14 days after the intervention, , the sutures of the transplant zone disappear by themselves.
• Most of the transplanted hair will continue to grow over the next few weeks after the intervention, and will then fall off temporarily. This is a normal part of the hair micrograft cycle.
• Normal and sustained hair growth will start 8 to 12 weeks after the intervention.
• New hair will grow by about 1 centimetre a month, which is the same rate as normal hair.
• Follow-up visits are scheduled to make sure that the hair is growing as planned.
